Hitachi releases EX2600-7 mining excavator in Russia

Hitachi has unveiled the EX2600-7 mining excavator, the second machine in its EX-7 series following the launch of the EX1200-7 last year.

The EX2600-7, which is available in a backhoe or shovel configuration, comes with a variety of features that reduce fuel consumption, increase efficiency and make maintenance simpler. Its fuel consumption optimisation technologies reduce consumption costs, while achieving “superior” productivity and enhancing sustainability. The excavator potentially reduces 10 per cent of fuel consumption compared with the previous model through engine options and hydraulic system improvements. This excavator is loaded with intelligent features such as auto-lubrication system with a large capacity grease tank to minimise downtime and optimise machine longevity.

Customers have a choice of Cummins (1,520 horsepower) or MTU (1,563 hp).

It also provides maximum cab comfort and safety for operators, thanks to a pressurised cab’s climate-controlled air conditioning, automatic weight-adjusting air suspension seat and integrated electronic joysticks.
