In August 2021, the official dealer of Hitachi Construction Machinery in Russia, Minetech Machinery, commissioned a new Hitachi EX2600-7 mining excavator. The machine works at the at «Mezhdurechensky» open pit, which is part of the Sibuglemet Group LLC.
Hitachi EX2600-7 has an operational weight of 256 tons. It is equipped with a backhoe. The bucket volume is 15 m3. The excavator is equipped with a Cummins diesel engine with a capacity of 1520 hp. The excavator is additionally equipped with Operator Protective Guard (OPG) provides secure protection from falling objects, ensuring operator safety, diagnostic system, long-life LED working lights, a centralized lubrication system, an automatic fire extinguishing system Ansul, as well as Bradken crawler system. Bradken’s undercarriage components are designed to withstand the extreme mining conditions of such regions as Kuzbass where temperatures range from -40°C to +40°C. Bradken’s proprietary alloys and processes maximise impact strength and toughness over a wide range of operating temperatures.
