Our ultra-large EX5600-6 excavator is right at home in the world’s most challenging quarries and mines. Equipped with two powerful engines, it also has a large-capacity bucket shaped to enhance the efficiency of its operations.
A 34m3 backhoe bucket or 29m3 loading shovel bucket can load a Hitachi EH4000ACII dump truck in four passes. Both options offer significant breakout and digging force. Productivity is also boosted by an auto-levelling mechanism, developed exclusively by Hitachi for efficient levelling operations.
Exceptionally durable
Durability is built in to the EX5600-6, which incorporates a robust rigid box design and solid cast track frame. To prevent damage from rocks, the excavator has high-mounted compact travel motors and an optional travel motor guard. Rugged track links with added roller guides have helped to extend service intervals.
Several easy maintenance features ensure a reliable performance 24/7. You can access and replace many components conveniently and easily thanks to the folding stairs with wide steps. A walkway around the counterweight also provides easy access to key areas for fast and safe inspection and maintenance. An auto lubrication system eliminates the need for this to be completed manually.
